Solidarity Statement from the Poor Righteous Party of the Black Nation to the North American Conference of the African Socialist International on the Occasion of African Liberation Day 2009
Dear Comrades:
On behalf of our Chairman Comrade Tommy Ingiaye, we extend fraternal revolutionary greetings from the Central Committee of the Poor Righteous Party of the Black Nation to this important conference.
This conference has set itself the goal to build the North American Front of the ASI, to advance the unification and liberation of Africans worldwide under the leadership of the Black working class. In this effort you have our fraternal support and militant solidarity.
As a historical product of the new generation of Black class-conscious revolutionaries who grew up under the conditions of full blown counterinsurgency and the rise of Hip-Hop culture, the PRPBN has acquired a unique history and perspective.
Our Party was founded in 1996 on the basis of the creative application of the content of revolutionary Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, Ingiaye Thought or Marxism-Leninism-Maoism from the viewpoint of knowledge of self to the concrete conditions of the Black Nation without borders.
While our Party agrees with Nkrumah that the core of the Black Revolution is in Africa, we also agree with Huey P. Newton and his assertion that the decisive blow in the Black Revolution will be the destruction of US imperialism led by the Black masses of North Amerika, all the while agreeing with both that the Black Revolution itself is the vanguard of the World Proletarian Revolution.
Thus the PRPBN believes in World Proletarian Revolution and fights for the total liberation of Black nation at home and abroad. This means that wherever our people and class are in the world we fight for new democratic and socialist revolution to establish independent people’s republics led by Black workers and peasants. This in turn, serves the ultimate victory of the world proletarian revolution that will feature the socialist liberation of continental Africa under an all-African socialist union government as its core.
As a Party that adheres to Comrade Newton’s great theory of Intercommunalism, we believe the achievement of a People’s Republic of New Afrika, a United States of Africa and the liberation of all fallen humanity are inseparable and indivisible.
While there are some ideological differences between our Party and the ASI, we are certain that what unifies our two parties is greater.
For over 30 years Comrade Omali Yeshitela and the African People’s Socialist Party has been an important contributor to the advancement of the liberation movement of African people and oppressed peoples worldwide.
Relations between the APSP and the PRPBN spans almost ten years, since first establishing contact at the 1998 Jericho Movement March for Political Prisoners in Washington D.C.. Since that time our two Parties has maintained a positive working relationship on the ground, collaborated on several campaigns and projects both locally and nationally, such as the struggle against police terror and neocolonialism in Philadelphia and the successful struggle to free former political prisoner Fred Hampton Jr.
Oftentimes in some areas, the cadre of our two Parties where alone in the field, jointly standing between the masses and the forces that sought to crush them, when everybody else fled. Indeed our unity has been forged principally on the streets due to our common adherence to class struggle. The ASI can count on the PRPBN as comrades and firm allies in the struggle against imperialism. Let us move to deepen fraternal relations in the coming days as the crisis of imperialism deepens. Once again on behalf of our Chairman we wish this conference much success in its objective.
Success to the ASI North American Conference!
Forward the Building of a Broad Black United Front for Liberation!
