PRPBN Speaks to Black College Students

On October 28th, members of the Poor Righteous Party of the Black Nation participated in an interaction program organized by the Black Student Union of West Chester University.

PRPBN Chairman Comrade Tommy Ingiaye and Proctor Rell Styles of the Polymathematic University shared the stage with comrades of the New Black Panther Party at the function which marked the climaxing event of a series held by the Black Student Union around the Black Panther Party of Self Defense.

The PRPBN was invited to teach on the Black Panther Party and the ongoing revolutionary struggle.

Showing the revolutionary creativity of the African aesthetic, the strong sisters of the BSU staged a wonderful play-skit, depicting various leaders of the party such as Bobby Hutton and Huey P. Newton. hpim0256

Comrade Ingiaye participated in this skit with the Earths (sisters) of the BSU , entering stage at the point of the rise of the party, establishing the party as a revolutionary project against our open enemies and enlisting the response of reaction called Cointelpro.

“Peace! Please take a look to the right. Now take a look to your left” Comrade Ingiaye said, speaking to the crowd which was overwhelmingly sisters. “because you see the fact that our brothers are not here in numbers with us tonight is a direct legacy of COINITELPRO and the repression of the Black revolutionary movement.”

Comrade then went on to outline the rise of the repressive national security state. Using a call and response style of teaching, comrade went into COINTELPRO point by point, dropping sites, books and sources that the colleges students could research to learn for themselves.

Ending with a challenge to support Black political prisoners and POW comrade encouraged the black students to form a united front with the agitating forces in the Black community.

PRPBN leader and Proctor Rell Styles of the Polymathematic University spoke presenting the history party, tracing its origin in the Black freedom movements and proletarian uprisings of the post WW2 period.

“They would like you to believe that the Black Panther Party was just some gang running around with guns–but in fact, they were a disciplined Black revolutionary movement guided by science” Proctor pointed out.

“In fact, J Edger Hoover pointed out that the Breakfast program of the BPP is the greatest and most long term threat to the internal security of the United States. This is because the Party served the people to develop them for revolution”

Proctor Styles concluded by raising the question of the study of the thought of Huey p. Newton, who he described as” one of the greatest and most important people in the history of our people”. Proctor also bought with him books. They were, To Die For The People, a collection of writings of Huey P. Newton; The Vanguard, a photobook about the BPP; and Mao’s Little Red Book with the Lin Bao intro, ya dig.

Brother King Samir Shabazz of the NBPP also spoke at the function. He spoke on the history of the NBPP and the work of the late great Black Power General Khallid Muhammad, as well as the local work of the Philadelphia NBPP, which works closely with local workers of the PRPBN.

The event was hosted by the beautiful and militant sister Shaneka, president of the WCBSU. She and her staff did a excellent job of organizing this event.

“Thank you so much for coming” was what the comrades heard from the audience and students. “Thank you for inviting us” was the refrain. “Please come back teach some more” was what some said. God Willing, We will.
